   A Giant Walks Among Us...

and a Manufactured Android is Smearing Him to Bring Him Down

The Almighty Twister of Fate has given us an opportunity the American people have not had since the Revolutionary War. If you are tired of living in a plutocracy where there are two systems of government, two systems of justice, two systems of health insurance, two systems of education, two systems of economic opportunity – one for the rich and special interest groups, and one for the rest of us, if you are tired of the Senate, the Congress and local governments always passing legislation and regulation that benefit the rich corporations and special interest groups and continuously erode and damage our lives and the futures of our children and grandchildren, if you seriously want to take control of our government back from the oligarchy now controlling it, if you want all officials to be held accessible and accountable by restoring all sovereignty, all power back to the people ... then, by a miraculous twist of fate, we have been given the opportunity to really – literally – take control of America back.

We have been given John McCain.

A giant among men. A Titan among the munchkins that are trying to pass themselves off as Presidential candidates. (An exception is Bill Bradley whom I’ll talk about in a moment.)
It took me a while to become aware of what a force for freedom and restoration of power back to the people John McCain is. Ever since the scandal of the Keating Five I had no real interest in John McCain. Quite the contrary, I loathed all five of the Senators who prostituted themselves for the reprehensible Charles Keating. You see, I had a personal interest. I too was cheated by Charles Keating, and was engaged in a bitter lawsuit against Keating and his Lincoln Savings and Loan Association. So McCain was not my cup of tea.
Later I did notice, only peripherally, his fight for campaign reform, which I didn’t really take seriously. After all, becoming a member of the Senate or Congress means you learn to lie as automatically as you breathe. And you look around for some issue that will give you good sound bites and create the impression you really mean to enact a reform you are pretending to be for. I, like most of you, have learned never to believe anything any politician says, and certainly never believe that they mean anything that they ever promise. They all come from another universe populated by sociopathic liars like the Ramseys, the OJs, and the Bill Clintons. “I never had sexual relations with that woman ...”, “It depends on what the definition of ‘is’, is.”
But then something happened that made me sit up and take real notice of John McCain. In his speech trying to pass the bill for serious campaign reforms, McCain said something everybody on this earth knows to be an absolute fact – that “the massive amounts of soft money by the giant corporations and special interests totally corrupts all of us in Washington.” That didn’t mean much to me, true as it was, but what really turned me on to McCain was the number of Republicans who were not only his colleagues, but his friends, who were so terrified of being cut off from their sources of obscene money, that they stood on the Senate floor and looked McCain in the eye, and emotionally out of control shouted at him, “How dare you call us corrupt! Am I corrupt? Tell me to my face, am I corrupt?” Senator after Senator, in a well orchestrated effort, stood up to attack McCain and make it personal.

Now I knew McCain was on to something. Now I knew McCain was for real.
Remember our fundamental principle that whenever you get emotionally upset at something in someone else it’s because it exists in you? The out of control emotional rage being publicly piled on McCain by the Republican Party leadership in such a personal and venomous way proved to me unequivocally that: 1) McCain was for real; 2) McCain’s drive for meaningful campaign reform was real, or his friends and fellow Senators would not be so emotional about it; and 3) McCain had enormous integrity and could not be bought off.
If McCain were just faking his demand for campaign reform as a Presidential gambit, his fellow Senators would know it, and would smilingly support him as he conned the public. But McCain committed the most deadly sin a fellow Senator can commit – he meant what he said, and he truly believes, as did Warren Rudman, Bill Bradley and others who quit the Senate, that the Senate is so corrupt it can’t function anymore, and only drastic campaign reform can save it.
Now everyone with an IQ above 30 knows that the ONLY way there can be any real tax reform, health reform (which 47 million Americans desperately need), educational reform, is if there is first and foremost radical and meaningful campaign reform, completely taking control of the government back from the wealthy corporations and special interests. Until there is this kind of severe campaign reform, elected officials will never be accessible and accountable to the American voters, but only accessible and accountable to the rich, the special interests and the corporations – and like everyone else McCain knows this, and shock of shocks, somewhere along the line the God of Patriotism – the same incredible supernatural patriotism that made him such a hero in his five years of POW torture and hell – revisited John McCain, and breathed into him the burning need to serve his country now as nobly as he did in Viet Nam, to make any sacrifice, to suffer any pain and torment in the service of a cause he truly believed in, and that cause was – and is – America.
I began to watch John McCain closely. Each time I did it became clear he’s for real, he means everything he says about campaign reform, tax reform, health care, education – he says and stands for virtually everything I said and stood for when I ran for President in 1992. (A story I’ll tell shortly, but suffice it to say never, for one second, did I suffer the delusion that I was qualified to be the President of the United States. I ran to try to get some other qualified non-politician to run ... but more about that later.)
On C-SPAN I saw McCain address a high school class in New Hampshire – I think the same high school I addressed the class in New Hampshire back in 1991. Again, I was shocked and delighted. First, by virtually everything he said, including his passionate belief that the average American, the working man and woman, including the underprivileged, especially the Native Americans who have been so brutalized by this government for 400 years ... that all of us are suffering in one way or another because our interest and our needs are not being met by the bought and paid for White House, Senate and Congress. And he stood and answered question after question without fear or giving the mandatory candidate spin on important issues so as not to offend the group you are speaking to. (I’ll never forget the first time I was advised as to how to avoid speaking on abortion to a given group and if I was pressed how to give only part of what I believe, the part that would satisfy this group, and withhold the part that would offend them, saving that for the group that wanted to hear that part of my position. We showed exactly how this works in Billy Jack Goes to Washington in a scene that anyone who has seen the movie will never forget.) I refused to do that, and to my delight, McCain refused to do that. He stood tall. Looked them in the eye. And gave them an honest answer as to what he believed and what he would do on every issue.
Slowly it dawned on me – there is a giant among us. A true giant. A real patriot – not for what he did in the war but for what he is doing now -- laying it all on the line for the American people. Cutting himself off from the Republican party bosses and power brokers. Burning all bridges to the corrupt slush funds of untold millions the party controls. Literally sacrificing and giving up a future of comfort and ease in order to try to save our country and our way of government before it is too late – but make no mistake about it, after this campaign is over, John, instead of living out his days in the financial comfort and celebrity status of a respected Senator, will be dead meat in the Republican party. Shunned and vilified – as he is now.
Only a man who sees what I see, who sees what most of us see, that without finding a way of restoring control of the government back to the people the erosion of the American dream of freedom and responsibility and equal justice and opportunity for all will continue until it is complete, if it isn’t already. However, unlike you and I, John McCain has a perfect opportunity to do something about it that you and I can’t do. John McCain is in a perfect position to, in a giant upheaval, restore the Constitution to America, to you and I, by restoring to us sovereignty – power and control over all our elected and appointed officials.
But John cannot do it alone.
In fact, the odds against McCain becoming President against the overwhelming might and fierce opposition of his own Republican party bosses, starting with the majority leader Trent Lott on down, and including the party power brokers supporting their manufactured candidate, George Bush ... that opposition is so incredibly wealthy and powerful that the odds against McCain are as fierce and ferocious as were his odds of being hung by his two broken arms and broken leg in the POW camp.

The Sickest Smear Campaign in History
American politics, from Day One, has been filled with smear campaigns and vicious character assassinations that have been so sick, it is hard to believe that rational adult church-going human beings, could spread such poisonous remarks about a fellow human being solely for the purpose of winning election, yet, astonishingly, when it comes to politics the shadow side of human beings emerges and they set out to do real evil without blinking an eye.
Yet nothing comes close to the evil now being spread about John McCain by the Bush camp and major Republican Senators like Trent Lott, Nichols, and others. NOTHING!!
My blood boils when I see this latest attempt to try to destroy John McCain’s character simply because he’s ahead in the New Hampshire polls, and more important, people everywhere, like me, are starting to take a second look at John McCain and find he’s for real, a man of real substance and integrity. If more people start to look at him as I have, by next summer McCain could be a real threat to the Republican party bosses and their hand-picked munchkin, Bush. Because these party bosses are worse than amoral alley cats, because they are capable of true evil, including supporting, without batting an eye, giant corporations and special interests who kill people such as the tobacco companies, it is nothing for them to do everything – and anything – they can to destroy the life and good name of John McCain, because if he’s elected President there would be real campaign reform, and they would lose their power and plush special interest income.
What has America come to that these men, who supposedly go to church and worship God on the Sabbath, can spread these heinous lies about John McCain just so their puppet, Bush, can become President?

What are the lies?
They began by spreading the story that John McCain has a temper, and still has a “woman” problem. When they found out that having a “woman problem” doesn’t mean anything to the voters anymore, not after Clinton, they put that slander on the back burner and began to hit very hard on McCain having a temper. That temper accusation is an old worn out political smear. Remember how they used that one against Dole in the ’88 campaign, and Muskie before that?
As if that weren’t bad enough, when the temper accusation fell flat, the Bush campaign and Republican leadership went from dirty politics to sick inexcusable human behavior.
They began to spread the rumor that McCain was emotionally unstable. And how did he become emotionally unstable? (As I write this I find it impossible to believe that otherwise responsible men in positions of power and leadership would actually do this.) They took one McCain’s strongest qualities, his unbelievably heroic endurance and behavior through five and a half years of POW torture, and twisted it to say that that experience left him emotionally unstable.
(Once again I have to pause because the feeling of horror that is overtaking me that normally rational men would do this to a friend and colleague without any conscience whatsoever, without wondering for a split second what Almighty God would think of their behavior and their doing this just for power and money, I have all I can do to keep myself from getting on a plane and going to Washington and confronting these despicable men face to face. As the wise and wonderful attorney, Joseph Welch, said to McCarthy during those unforgettable hearings, “Have you no shame, sir? At long last, have you no shame?”)
I say the same to George W. Bush, all of his handlers and power broker bosses, to Trent Lott and the other Senators who have by spreading this story “off the record” forever smear themselves as men so lacking in morals and integrity they do not deserve to sit in the US Senate. Having painted themselves with this infamy, they do not deserve any position of trust any where.

Why is Bush Spreading these Vicious Falsehoods to Smear McCain?
The answer is very simple.
McCain is a candidate built from the ground up. Unlike candidates that are built from the top down by the party machines and the people who control those machines. McCain’s candidacy comes out of the American soil, from the same American soil from which grew all the ideas of freedom, responsibility, and sovereignty to the people, not to a House of Lords or a King. No party support with its unlimited tens of millions of dollars, and millions more hard core party members who support who the party machine tells them to support. McCain starts out alone, from the ground up, with none of the help, manpower and money the party candidate receives. (Bill Bradley also is a candidate coming from the ground up in the Democratic party.)
George W. Bush, on the other hand, could rightfully be called a party android. A completely manufactured robot of a candidate who is totally unqualified to lead a giant complex corporation, let alone become the President of the United States and know how to successfully manage the corporation of America. Psychologically, referring to the role that the unconscious, the Persona and the Shadow play in helping us to see through the Personas of people in institutions, see into their Shadows, and pick those who are psychologically healthy, Bush is one of the most immature and psychologically unhealthy of all of the candidates, a subject we will go into more depth at another time.
For now, suffice it to say, that Bush is all Persona with no substance, and like the Wizard of Oz, if the people ever catch on and pull back the curtain to see the little man, psychologically not physically, standing there pretending to be a Presidential candidate, they will turn to John McCain, which is why the party bosses will do anything, stoop lower than anyone ever has in politics before, to keep the people from comparing the substance, intelligence, and gigantic patriotism of John McCain, with their would-be king who has no clothes. Mark my words, slowly, but with absolute certainty, the American people will see behind the curtain that George W. Bush has no Presidential clothes and is not qualified to be our President.

But that’s not nearly enough.
As people begin to realize that God has given us a remarkably qualified human being who truly cares about restoring power back to the people, the power brokers behind Bush will intensify their unprincipled efforts to destroy McCain – and only you and I can save McCain, only you and I can deliver John McCain to the White House, only you and I can take this very real opportunity to turn this country around and take America back.
And the best way that I can think of to help you and I help John McCain become our next President, is for me to run for President myself.
Doesn’t seem to make sense, does it? How in the world can my running for President help elect John McCain? Tune in next week, and I’ll tell you.
In the meantime, please cast your vote as to whether you approve, disapprove, or strongly disapprove about the smear campaign being launched against John McCain, that he’s mentally unstable because he was a prisoner of war. (What an incredible insight to every veteran and every person who suffered in a POW camp – an insult that is so irrational it defies our ability to grasp that anyone would say such a thing.)
